Join fellow Marygrove College alums, friends, and family on a visit to the Second Baptist Connection to Freedom. Take a historical ride on a train that traveled on no tracks. Sit in the Croghan Street Station and hear the story of runaways escaping slavery who rested in secret in the church before crossing the Detroit River to safety in Canada and “Freedom."
Located inside the Educational Building of the church, 461 Monroe Street, Greektown Detroit, MI 48226.
Free Parking! Brush Street Garage, corner of Lafayette & Brush, across from Athenaum Hotel. Parking is FREE with church validation.
