Join me in congratulating the following faculty for their recent accomplishments:

Thomas Klug, Ph.D., professor of history, was appointed to the Board of Editors ofThe Michigan Historical Review. The journal, now in its 39th year, is published twice a year by the Clarke Historical Library at Central Michigan University. At the annual North American Labor History Conference at Wayne State University on October 24, Tom was one of the two commentators on George Galster’s recent book, Driving Detroit: The Quest for Respect in the Motor City. Galster, a professor of urban planning at Wayne State, was the guest speaker of the Institute of Detroit Studies Brown Bag Lunch series one year ago. At the same conference, Tom also chaired a panel titled, “Immigrant Labor in Detroit and the ILGWU.

Michael Martin, Ph.D., assistant professor of English and co-director of the Geschke Writing Center, published an article, “Meditations on Valentin Tomberg,” in the British journal Second Spring.
