connect-20333_640You are cordially invited to Wednesday evening's campus-community dialogue: "Co-Creating Our Community" event.  We plan to have affinity flags on tables with these topics:  youth, women, neighborhood beautification, and agriculture/sustainability.

It has been suggested that we distribute a campus resource directory listing our resources and/or desires for community connection.  Those who wish to give their information to community residents are being asked to email Barbara Beesley a simple 2-3 liner message indicating your interest/field of expertise; the kind of resource you could be to the community or the kind of community connection you are seeking; and the best means of contacting you.  Here are a few examples:

-   Barbara Beesley, IHM, teaches in the Social Justice program and would like venues (particularly among high school age students) for graduate students to do Voter Education workshops in October-November and February. bbeesley@marygrove.edu; 313-927-1403

-  Jesse Cox is concerned about Sustainability and Ecology.  He is involved with the Community Garden and the Herbal Healing Garden--a collaboration between the college, community partners and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters who sponsor Marygrove College. jcox@marygrove.edu; 313-927-1404.

Please send your information by next Monday (5/13).
